New provincial legislation leads Niagara Peninsula Energy to consider smart grid technology.
Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. never intended to take full advantage of a meter data management solution. The utility initially wanted a product that would help it comply with new provincial legislation. But when it saw first hand how MeterSense could also help it automate routine processes, analyze smart grid data and improve customer service, NPEI quickly changed its implementation plan. MeterSense is now an essential component of the utility’s smart grid solution and a building block for future system enhancements.
